3 Ways to Make Exercise a Habit

1. MIX IT UP:  Do a variety of workouts so you won't get bored. Not only should you mix up the workout you do, you should also mix up the location in which you do it.  (gym, outside, group classes, etc) Change it up for your muscles AND your mind.

2. MAKE EXERCISE A PRIORITY: Always leave a spot in your schedule book for your workout.  It is just as important as all of your other obligations that day.

3. BE AWARE OF YOUR PROGRESS: Although you might not get to where you want to be in one week, notice the indicators along the way and let that motivate you.

Harmful Ingredients

Watch Out for these Harmful Ingredients

Two Ingredients to look for and STAY AWAY FROM:

1. ESTROGEN: The milk we drink is injected with tons of hormones.  AKA when you drink regular milk you are also drinking a glass of hormones with it. Injecting cows with hormones increases milk production. But at what expense? There is a link between these hormones and cancer amongst MANY other negatives health issues.  There is a reason American milk is banned in Europe.

2. ANTIFREEZE: Yes, seriously.  AKA Propylene Glycol. Used in cars, pills, cosmetics, deodorant, moisturizer AND "FOOD."  The same antifreeze that  keeps your car from freezing over also keeps your fat-free cookie dough ice cream creamy.  If you see an ingredient label with some scientific word you don't recognize...STAY away.  It isn't food, so why would you eat it?

Flat Abs

When doing crunches or ab work make sure you are sucking your belly in as far back to your spine as possible--the ENTIRE time.  If you start to get tired and they pooch out reset and start again. Modify as much as you need to keep the belly in.  This makes the muscles build inward rather than outward.

..but remember..this is only 30% of the battle....

You are what you eat.  Feed your body with healthy foods and eliminate sugar and starchy foods that turn to sugar.  And stock up on fiber and protein (ex. almonds, vegetables)  Fiber banishes bloating and protein maintains a healthy metabolism.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT

FACT: EVERY 365 DAYS YOUR SKIN REPLACES ITSELF.  YOUR LIVER, ABOUT A MONTH. YOUR BODY MAKES THESE NEW CELLS FROM THE FOOD YOU EAT.  WHAT YOU EAT LITERALLY BECOMES YOU.

YOU HAVE A CHOICE IN WHAT YOU'RE MADE OF.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE WHAT TO EAT, ASK YOURSELF IF IT WILL HEAL YOU OR KILL YOU?

Organic Food or Conventional

Is organic food really better?

• Exposure to chemical pesticides was significantly lower in organic foods (roughly 30% less than conventional foods).

• Exposure to "superbugs" in meat (antibiotic-resistant bacteria) was also significantly lower in organic foods (roughly a 33% risk difference).

• The study conclusion says, right out, that "Consumption of organic foods may reduce exposure to pesticide residues and antibiotic-resistant bacteria."
